Morgan Hedly represents and advises employers in a wide range of labor and employment law issues. She defends employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and other employment-related matters before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights (RICHR), Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), and Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO). Her litigation practice emphasizes responsiveness and the use of technology to help deliver high-quality, efficient, and pragmatic representation.
In addition to litigation, Morgan counsels employers on state and federal workplace issues, including employee leaves and accommodations, internal investigations and whistleblower concerns, workplace privacy, and safeguarding confidential business information and customer relationships. She also drafts and reviews independent contractor, arbitration, restrictive covenant, and separation agreements; designs employee handbooks and personnel policies; and advises employers on day-to-day hiring, discipline, and termination decisions. Leveraging her background in neuroscience, Morgan applies a rigorous understanding of human behavior and organizational dynamics to inform risk management and strategic decision-making, helping employers pragmatically develop policies, communications, and practices that minimize exposure to costly litigation.
