Nare is a senior associate in the Los Angeles office of Ogletree Deakins. Nare represents employers in all types, aspects, and stages of employment law matters. Nare primarily defends employers in single plaintiff lawsuits. She represents employers in cases brought by current and former individual employees alleging discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage claims, and other employment related claims. Nare has also represented employers in wage and hour class action cases, and in cases brought under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Her representation spans various industries, including hospitality, retail, healthcare, education, media/entertainment, legal, technology, science, and food service. Nare also has experience litigating employment law cases brought in the arbitration forum.
Nare has extensive experience in civil litigation, taking and defending numerous depositions, conducting investigations of claims brought against employers and entities, drafting and arguing, as well as prevailing on and defeating, various motions, including anti-SLAPP motions and motions for summary judgment and/or adjudication, and discovery motions. She has also first chaired numerous bench trials involving contract law, obtaining verdicts in her clients’ favor. Nare has also authored and published a post on a labor and employment blog, entitled, “Tips for Employers for Compliant Handbook Policies and Practices.” She has been interviewed by and quoted in several media outlets, including the Los Angeles Times and Law360, for her work and courtroom appearances in labor and employment cases involving former employees of the Los Angeles Times.
Nare has been licensed to practice in California since 2013 and practices in state and federal court. She is admitted to practice before California State Courts and all California United States District Courts.
