Olivia Orlando-Donovan focuses her practice on the defense and counseling of all aspects of employment and labor issues for a wide variety of clients. She has extensive experience representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as in administrative proceedings, public hearings, and arbitration matters. She has successfully navigated complex employment disputes before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the New York State Division of Human Rights (NYSDHR), and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), advocating for employers in various types of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.

Prior to joining Ogletree, Olivia worked for a large national law firm litigating New York state and federal employment cases. She also previously served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office and as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department. As a member of the DA’s Trial Bureau, Olivia prosecuted hundreds of cases, including attempted murders, assaults, robberies, burglaries, and illegal firearms possession from arrest through disposition, whether it was a trial or plea. As a result, she has substantial jury trial, grand jury, and investigative experience. At the New York City Law Department, Olivia effectively prepared and orally argued dispositive motions on behalf of the City. 

In law school, Olivia was elected by the student body to serve as executive president of the Student Bar Association and had an article published in the Albany Law School Government Law Review.
