Patti Riordan is of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Ogletree Deakins.
Patti represents employers in all aspects of employment litigation. She has defended Fortune 500 clients facing claims in state and federal court for age, gender, disability, sex and race discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and failure to accommodate. Ms. Riordan also defends employers in administrative hearings before the Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Patti has experience litigating wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act representative actions. She advises California employers on developing employer policies, procedures and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with federal and state laws. She also volunteers her time representing children in adoption court proceedings.
In law school, Patti was the team brief writer for the award-winning Pepperdine Moot Court Team, a member of the Moot Court Board and Inns of Court, and an extern with the United States Attorney’s Office. Before law school she worked as an intern for Senator Edward M. Kennedy and a public relations executive.
Patti received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from U.C. Santa Barbara and her J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law.
