Robert Lofton focuses his practice on defending national and employers of all sizes against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations in California courts and federal courts as well as in arbitration proceedings. He handles civil litigation from inception through trial or arbitration. Robert has also represented employers in administrative proceedings, including those before the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Employment Development Department (EDD), and Labor Commissioner.
Robert is a member of the California State Bar, and is licensed to practice before the Northern and Central Federal District Courts of California. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. Robert worked in the broadcast news field for 10 years prior to becoming an attorney. Robert also holds an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University, Malibu. Robert received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 1995, where he was awarded the Order of the Coif for outstanding achievement in moot court competition.
