Sachiko Hanamura is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office. They prepare in-depth legal arguments in support of filed petitions and appeals to the Administrative Appeals Office, as well as motions to reopen and motions to reconsider, to advocate for clients and their employees after denial. Sachiko follows, analyzes, and utilizes the latest immigration trends to successfully advocate for their clients’ positions. Sachiko also works on nonimmigrant petitions to advocate for clients on the front end.
During their free time, Sachiko volunteers with Al Otro Lado and CASA Maryland to provide immigration-related legal services to the underserved. Sachiko received their Juris Doctorate from American University Washington College of Law where their studies focused on administrative law and advocacy. They are a member of the Virginia State Bar admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and are a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
