Sam is a member of the firm’s Technology Practice Group and Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice Group. He advises employers on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and other forms of technology in the workplace, including in hiring, timekeeping, productivity monitoring and performance assessment. Sam regularly prepares AI policies for clients and advises employers on compliance with a wide array of laws governing the use of AI tools in the workplace. Sam is also the host of the firm’s podcast series The AI Workplace, and a member of the firm’s technology Pilot program, which tests technology and AI tools and provides feedback on their features, efficacy, and potential adoption by the firm.
Sam has represented clients before the Illinois State Courts, United States District Courts, the United States Courts of Appeal, and a variety of administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States and Illinois Departments of Labor, the Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Merit Systems Protection Board.
Sam is a 2014 graduate of The George Washington University Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College, with a degree in Economics and Business in 2006. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, chess and the piano.
