Sean Choi is counsel based in Ogletree’s San Francisco office. Sean’s practice focuses on management-side representation in single-plaintiff and collective and class action litigation involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, disability accommodations and wage and hour violations. Sean represents employers in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts and also counsels them on employment-related legal compliance and preventive measures. His goal is to help clients minimize risks and avoid litigation, so their businesses continue to thrive and healthy employer-employee relationships are maintained.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Sean worked as a litigation associate at a national law firm based in Los Angeles, handling all aspects of employment law litigation and routinely advising employers on litigation prevention. Sean also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Dennis J. Landin of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, where he gained experience in a wide variety of civil matters in the nation’s largest trial court system. There, Sean developed his passion in labor and employment practice that closely touches on everyday workplace relations and business outlook.

Sean earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Saundra B. Armstrong of the U.S. District Court for Northern District of California. Sean earned his double major in Economics and Psychology from Duke University.
