Sharlee Little serves as Special Counsel in the Ogletree Deakins EEO Advantage Administrative Charges Program. Sharlee has handled hundreds of administrative charge matters filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as state and local Fair Employment Practice Agencies across the country. Sharlee has handled EEO litigation in both federal and state courts throughout the United States. Â She has broad experience in handling claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
As both outside and in-house counsel, Sharlee has advised clients on a variety of employment and human resources issues, conducted numerous discrimination and harassment investigations, drafted employee handbooks and employment policies, conducted large layoffs, handled company-wide compliance programs, managed the employment law aspects of international corporate acquisitions, advised corporate officers regarding fiduciary obligations under employee benefit plans, and advised clients of their pay and overtime obligations under the Fair Labor Standards Act and equivalent state laws. Sharlee has advised federal government contractor clients regarding their obligations under the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act and handled class and collective actions claiming various wage and hour violations.
Through her experience as both outside and in-house counsel, Sharlee has worked closely with many employee managers and human resource departments and professionals, in a variety of industries and work environments. She has gained an understanding of real-life issues that lead to employee complaints of unfairness and discrimination, employment policies and practices that are required to run a successful business and ways to handle employment issues when they arise, while working within the client’s day-to-day business realities.
