Torrance M. Smith

Torrance Smith is an associate attorney in the Raleigh, North Carolina office of Ogletree Deakins focusing on employment-based immigration matters.

He attended Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He received his Juris Doctor from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Faulkner University. During law school, he worked in the Elder Law Clinic, where he prepared wills, advance healthcare directives, and power-of-attorney documentation for multiple clients while corresponding with other attorneys and business on behalf of those clients. He joined Ogletree Deakins in 2019 as a paralegal and worked with a variety of clients in an array of industries, gaining experience in both nonimmigrant and immigrant processes before transitioning to an associate role in 2022.
