Biden OSHA’s COVID-19 Strategy: New Guidance, Possible Emergency Temporary Standards, and Perhaps More

About this Webinar

By Monday, March 15, 2021, the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will reportedly decide on the necessity of COVID-19 emergency temporary standards (ETS) and if needed, publish them, as directed by President Joe Biden in his “Executive Order on Protecting Worker Health and Safety.” In this webinar, the speakers will address OSHA’s actions (or inaction) in response to the Biden administration’s directive. If OSHA does publish new standards, the speakers will discuss the requirements. However, if OSHA asks the White House for more time to publish the ETS, the speakers will discuss what the federal standards might look like based on similar rules in California, Virginia, Oregon, and Michigan and if OSHA’s ETS will be something broader than just a COVID-19-focused standard? Alternatively if, as some at OSHA have suggested, the agency issues a new COVID-19 national emphasis program (NEP) while it continues to develop the ETS, the speakers will cover the requirements of the NEP. In other words, plan to join us and stay tuned for a more concrete agenda!
