Daisy Ramirez is an associate attorney in the Austin office of Ogletree Deakins, where she counsels and defends employers in a wide variety of employment matters. Her practice encompasses workplace discrimination, retaliation, harassment, reasonable accommodations, and related claims before administrative agencies—including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission—as well as in state and federal courts. Daisy’s primary focus is litigating cases under the ADA, Title VII, the ADEA, and other anti-discrimination statutes. She provides practical compliance guidance to help employers proactively identify and address workplace issues before they escalate into litigation.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Daisy was an attorney with a national law firm, where she practiced in the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation groups. Before that, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable John A. Kazen of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Laredo Division. Her clerkship experience honed her legal research and writing skills and provided her with valuable insight into federal litigation practice.
Daisy earned her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2023, graduating magna cum laude. During law school, she distinguished herself as a member of the St. Mary’s Law Review, where she served on the editorial board and was a published author. Daisy was also an accomplished member of the Moot Court team, earning numerous awards in oral advocacy competitions. In recognition of her exceptional advocacy skills, she was inducted into the Order of Barristers, a national honor society recognizing outstanding performance in the art of courtroom advocacy.
When she is not in the office, you can find Daisy in the gym training for her next Hyrox competition, exploring state and national parks, or cheering her daughter on from the sidelines at a gymnastics meet.
