Kesha is a member of the Ogletree Deakins Knowledge and Innovation (K&I) Department. Serving as Knowledge and Innovation Counsel, Kesha develops, implements, and maintains legal resources and processes that enhance the firm’s ability to capture, share, and apply legal knowledge effectively. She also guides Ogletree Deakins attorneys and business professionals through the firm’s collection of internal materials such as checklists, model documents, and practice notes, while ensuring the firm’s resources are current and comprehensive. Kesha supports several practice and industry groups to align knowledge initiatives with firm strategy, fostering collaboration and delivering practical value across those groups.
Prior to joining the K&I team, Kesha was Counsel in the firm’s Greenville office, where she partnered directly with in-house counsel, executives, managers, HR, and other business stakeholders to provide advice and counseling on complex and evolving multi-jurisdictional employment laws, including employee onboarding, leaves of absence and accommodations, wage/hour, discrimination, and retaliation under both federal and applicable state/local regulations.
Before joining Ogletree, Kesha worked within the legal department of SC Department of Employment and Workforce (SC-DEW) for nine years. As a former Administrative Hearing Officer with SC-DEW, Kesha conducted administrative proceedings involving wrongful discharge, harassment, retaliation, employment discrimination, and claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). While at SC-DEW, she was a member of the National Association of Unemployment Insurance Appeals Professionals (NAUIAP) and served on various committees.
Outside of work, Kesha likes to spend time enjoying the outdoors and traveling with her husband and two young children.
