TAMPA – October 14, 2005 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) is taking steps to help end the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Several members of the Tampa office of Ogletree Deakins, have joined together to participate in the October 22, 2005 Tampa MS Walk sponsored by the Mid Florida Chapter of the National MS Society.
Like many employers in the Tampa area, MS has touched the lives of the employees at the Ogletree Deakins law firm. Gail Farb, an attorney in the firm’s Tampa office, knows first hand the serious nature of this disease as she has helped her husband, John Farb, battle MS since August 2003. John, an active father of two young children, worked as a top-level executive in Bradenton, Florida when he learned that an MRI scan of his brain revealed lesions. After extensive medical testing and consultations with physicians over a ten-month span, John was officially diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in June 2004.
“We are proud to participate in the MS Walk and support this important cause,” said Grant Petersen, managing shareholder of the firm’s Tampa office. “We know the money we raise will help fight MS and aid families who have been affected by this disease.”
