PHOENIX – May 21, 2007 – At the start of its annual national conference, Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) hosted a golf tournament for attendees, raising $10,000 to benefit Childhelp, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based non-profit dedicated to prevention and treatment of child abuse.
“We have a strong affiliation with the organization, becoming more familiar with them over the years as a client and as a beneficiary. We’re pleased to be able to present them with this gift to help in their quest to end child abuse,” said Eric Dowell, managing shareholder at the Phoenix office of Ogletree Deakins. Dowell and Ogletree Deakins’ Managing Shareholder Gray Geddie presented the check to Childhelp executives at the tournament, held at the Arizona Biltmore golf course.
