TAMPA, FL — Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), the nation’s third largest labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce Monica J. Williams has joined the firm’s Tampa office. She will hold an associate position with the firm.
Ms. Williams’ practice focuses on defending and advising employers and management in employment-related disputes, including disputes involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Ms. Williams was an associate at a well respected Tampa law firm. Before that, she was a federal judicial law clerk to the Honorable James S. Moody, Jr., United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Florida. Prior to that, she was an associate at Constangy Brooks & Smith, LLP for three years.
Ms. Williams earned her B.S. from Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry in 1998. She earned her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2001.
