Vanderzanden has joined the firm’s new Boston office as a shareholder. Previously, Ms. Vanderzanden was a partner in the Boston office of Day Pitney LLP.

Ms. Vanderzanden, who was named among the Best Lawyers in America® in 2008, focuses her practice on defending employers against claims such as wrongful discharge, civil rights violations, and employment discrimination. As an active trial lawyer, she has tried several cases to juries and has handled a variety of matters before administrative agencies. She also advises employers regarding all aspects of employment law, including voluntary and involuntary reductions in force; employee investigations; sexual harassment; hiring, discipline, and termination; employment handbooks and policies; employment, noncompetition, nondisclosure, and nonsolicitation agreements; wage and hour laws; and issues of defamation and privacy.
Ms. Vanderzanden earned her B.A. from Columbia University in 1988 and her law degree from Boston College Law School in 1993.
