   |   Press Release

ATLANTA – September 21, 2015 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) is pleased to announce that the firm has earned three “Powerhouse” rankings in the areas of Class Actions and Torts, Complex Employment Litigation, and Routine Employment Litigation in the BTI Litigation Outlook 2016: Changes, Trends and Opportunities for Law Firms report. The firm was also named in the Honor Roll category in the areas of Complex Commercial Litigation, Routine Commercial Litigation, and Product Liability Litigation. This is the fourth consecutive year that Ogletree Deakins has earned a “Powerhouse” distinction in the BTI Litigation Outlook report.

The BTI Litigation Outlook report is BTI Consulting Group’s annual study of the Litigation Market. The 2016 edition uncovers how client behavior and spending is changing and points to six trends shaping litigation in 2016. It also provides details on how fewer matters, increased spending, and more complex work are impacting how clients are approaching litigation. The report is based solely on in-depth interviews with leading legal decision makers. This year, BTI conducted interviews with more than 320 legal decision makers at large organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue.

“Unprecedented regulatory and enforcement activity from governmental agencies has led to increased labor and employment law activity and litigation across a range of industries,” said Kim Ebert, managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins. “We’re honored to again be recognized as a Powerhouse by BTI. It’s a reflection of our strategic approach to provide efficient, innovative, premier client service.”
