ATLANTA – May 20, 2016 – Ogletree Deakins, as part of its Client Pledge, commits to having its attorneys certified by the Legal Technology Core Competencies Certification Coalition (LTC4™). With clients expecting lawyers to be more efficient, the LTC4™ certification demonstrates Ogletree Deakins’ commitment to improved efficiency and the effective use of technology. LTC4TM is a nonprofit organization that established legal technology core competencies and a certification that law firms may use to measure ongoing efficiency improvements. Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, became a member of LTC4™ in October 2015.
“We reached our initial objective of having more than 10 percent of the firm’s attorneys complete a LTC4™ learning path and receive their certification,” said Ogletree Deakins’ Director of Learning and Employee Development Marcia Stokes. “Earning the certification is another example of living our Client Pledge, which states our attorneys pledge to harness technology and innovation to better serve our clients’ interests.”
The attorney core competencies and certification were developed to provide the skills necessary to address attorneys’ professional responsibilities to the firm and clients in order to create and oversee quality work product, avoid risk, and maintain confidentiality and compliance.
LTC4TM’s core competencies are released through the firm’s OD University and managed by the learning and employee development team.
