Gretchen Lehman Named To Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2017 Up & Comers List

TAMPA – October 13, 2017 – Gretchen Lehman, an attorney in the Tampa office of Ogletree Deakins, has been named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Up & Comers class of 2017. Lehman is one of 36 Tampa Bay businesspeople named to the Under 40 list.

Lehman represents employers in all areas of employment law and focuses her practice in the area of employment litigation. She has handled a wide range of litigation matters in federal and state court, and has defended employers in lawsuits arising under Title VII, the Florida Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the First Amendment, and state tort laws. Lehman has also successfully defended management before numerous governmental administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Economic Opportunity, and the Public Employees Relations Commission. She regularly advises employers on their rights and responsibilities under a variety of employment laws and has conducted employment law and diversity training seminars for both management and employees.

Lehman has been recognized for her accomplishments throughout her career, including being named as a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star. She earned her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2007 and earlier received a B.A., magna cum laude, and a B.S., cum laude, from the University of Florida.
