MEMPHIS, Tenn. – January 23, 2020 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that Yasmin Mohammad is one of seven Memphis-based attorneys selected to participate in the Tennessee Bar Association’s 2020 Leadership Law program. The Leadership Law program is designed to equip participants with the vision, knowledge, and skills that are necessary to serve as leaders in their communities and chosen profession.
The 2020 class is comprised of 33 attorneys from across Tennessee who will spend six months learning about leadership in the legal profession, a range of issues that occur within the court system, policymaking, and the significance of community service. The Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law program is in its seventeenth year and includes attorneys who are in private practice and in-house counsel roles.
Yasmin earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Memphis. She has experience handling all aspects of employment litigation, including drafting and arguing motions, negotiating settlements, and successfully representing clients in arbitration and mediation. She also has extensive experience in public/governmental due process claims and hearings. In addition to her litigation experience, Yasmin provides legal and strategic advice and counsel to clients regarding internal investigations, employee discipline, employee leave, policy development, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment practices, reductions in force, investigations, and compliance issues.
