Ogletree Deakins Promotes New Leader in its Chicago Office

CHICAGO – November 1, 2021 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, announces today the promotion of Tobias Schlueter to office managing shareholder of its Chicago office. Tobias succeeds Rick Samson, who returns full-time to his traditional labor law practice, where he has more than 30 years of experience representing management.

Tobias’ elevation to Office Managing Shareholder in Chicago follows several leadership roles he holds at Ogletree Deakins since joining the firm in 2010. He is chair of Ogletree Deakins’ international Unfair Competition and Trade Secrets Practice Group and a member of Ogletree Deakins’ Client Services Steering Committee.

Tobias’ national practice focuses on serving as a strategic advocate and litigator for businesses in matters involving unfair competition (e.g., restrictive covenants (non-compete, non-solicit and confidentiality), trade secrets, duties of loyalty, tortious interference, and conspiracy, etc.) and employment (e.g., discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc.). Tobias has a proven track record in litigating high stakes matters involving temporary restraining orders and other injunctive relief.
