The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for the healthcare industry is nearing the midpoint of its six-month authorization. OSHA recently revised its COVID-19 guidance for non-healthcare employers, in light of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) revised guidance for vaccinated individuals due to the emergence of the Delta variant. In this webinar, the speakers will discuss the status of the ETS and OSHA’s guidance as well as the issues that have vexed employers, including imposing vaccine mandates, reinstituting mask mandates for vaccinated employees, implementing testing for unvaccinated workers, and more. The speakers will also address President Joe Biden’s new plan to mandate vaccines for all executive-agency employees and some employees of federal contractors and subcontractors, and require certain large employers to either ensure their workforces are vaccinated or conduct weekly testing of unvaccinated employees.
