Adam G. Christian

Of Counsel   |   St. Thomas

Adam G. Christian is a litigator with over twenty years of experience, who was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Adam spent the first fifteen years of his legal career actively practicing before the federal and local courts of the Virgin Islands; representing a wide range of clients from the early stages of litigation through trial and on appeals. Adam then moved into a period of public service, working as the head legal counsel to the then-Governor of the Virgin Islands. As a result of this experience, he brings an understanding of the interaction between the executive and legislative branches of government, and the government’s intersection with the private sector, to his current practice of law. Immediately prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Adam was a general jurisdiction trial judge on the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands for six years. This judicial experience also included the opportunity to serve as a designated justice on the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands and the Appellate Division of the District Court of the Virgin Islands. These positions provide Adam with a unique understanding of the Territory’s evolving jurisprudence, as well as an appreciation of the manner in which judges and juries may view disputes among litigants.
