Timothy Fox serves as the firm’s Chief Data and AI Officer, leading the vision and execution of enterprise-wide AI, data, and innovation initiatives. Operating at the intersection of law and technology, Tim ensures these advanced capabilities are aligned with the firm’s broader technical strategy to deliver secure and effective innovation.
Tim is responsible for architecting the firm’s generative AI ecosystem, positioning the firm at the forefront of the industry. He guides the design and responsible use of the firm’s AI portfolio, successfully scaling these technologies from concept to firmwide adoption. Tim has created a market-leading capability that enhances attorney productivity and modernizes the delivery of client services.
In his data leadership role, Tim defines the strategy and enablement roadmap, focusing on internal capabilities that allow the firm to better capture and leverage its own information. He shapes the firm’s data and digital solution initiatives, leading a major push to democratize access to the firm’s comprehensive data assets, transforming previously siloed information into active resources that drive decision-making.
Tim combines deep technical expertise with a background in litigation and innovation. Prior to joining the firm, he co-founded and served as Chief Product and Information Officer at LegalMation, a pioneer in AI-driven litigation automation. Before his tenure in legal tech, Tim was a practicing attorney for over seven years, representing clients in complex intellectual property and commercial disputes. He began his career in the technology sector, spending five years at a Fortune 500 company.
Tim is a regular speaker on AI and data in the legal field, serves on the California Judicial Council Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC), and is an Adjunct Professor at USC Gould School of Law, where he teaches on the strategic application of AI in the legal industry. He earned his J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law and his B.S., magna cum laude, in Computer Information Systems from Cal Poly. He is admitted to practice in California, all Federal District Courts of California, and the Eastern District of Texas.
