Micol Morgan is a seasoned employment attorney who is recognized for outstanding service to her clients, including international, national and local employers. She has achieved overwhelming success litigating, arbitrating, and mediating cases involving federal and territorial discrimination, sexual harassment and other employment law claims. Micol is particularly adept at counseling employers to proactively develop strategies to avoid litigation, determine the propriety of discipline, and ensure compliance with federal and territorial laws, to include workers’ compensation, and wage and hour laws.

With more than twenty years of experience practicing before both territorial and federal courts, Ms. Morgan has had multiple opportunities to litigate the unique Virgin Islands Wrongful Discharge Act, which abrogates “at-will” employment in certain circumstances. Ms. Morgan has successfully developed and managed the defense of employers in a wide range of industries, to include, commercial, banking, healthcare, hospitality, retail, industrial and transportation.

Ms. Morgan routinely appears before administrative tribunals, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Virgin Islands Department of Labor, the Virgin Islands Civil Rights Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. She also represents employers in the arbitral forum in matters arising from union grievances and employment disputes arbitrated pursuant to private dispute resolution agreements.

Ms. Morgan is admitted to practice law in the Virgin Islands and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and earned her Bachelor of Arts from Emory University. Ms. Morgan is licensed to practice before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and is an active member of the Virgin Islands Bar Association in which she has served on the Board of Governors and as the chairperson and member of various committees.
