Taylor represents companies of all sizes in employment-related lawsuits and government agency matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, and leave of absence claims. She has defended numerous companies in federal and state courts against a wide range of employment discrimination claims, including claims brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Illinois Human Rights Act. Taylor devotes a portion of her practice to counseling employers regarding various employment law issues, including discipline and discharge decisions, workplace policies, and general employment issues involving federal and state laws. She also assists employers with conducting on-site training and handling workplace investigations. Taylor has jury trial experience and routinely achieves dismissals for employers at summary judgment. From 2014 to 2017, Super Lawyers identified Taylor as an Illinois ‘Rising Star,’ a distinction awarded to attorneys under the age of 40 who have been evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Taylor was an associate at a civil defense firm where she represented businesses, primary and secondary schools, higher education institutions, nursing homes, and religious institutions in all areas of employment law.
