Corona Wang practices in the Boston office of Ogletree Deakins. She possesses more than a decade of experience navigating the complex nuances of immigration law and provides comprehensive business immigration support and representation to individual clients, domestic companies and multinational corporations. Corona has advised corporations in the manufacturing, software, e-commerce, healthcare, and information technology industries.
In addition to advising clients on day-to-day concerns, Corona thoroughly enjoys and is enthusiastically committed to helping clients navigate major changes in immigration law and policy. Her experience includes:
- Advising corporations on immigration issues arising from internal tax reorganizations; reductions in force (RIFs); and corporate restructuring
- Working collaboratively with clients to devise time-sensitive immigration strategies and thoughtful solutions to address process improvements and immigration concerns
- Providing timely updates on changes to immigration law and policy and communicating clear guidance on anticipated impact to sponsored employees
- Guiding large corporations through compliance visits, including H-1B and J-1 site visits
- Leading various educational sessions on immigration topics of interest
- Representing internationally acclaimed artists, musicians, and dancers; athletes; and researchers
Corona has extensive experience managing and securing a variety of nonimmigrant classifications including specialty occupation workers (H-1B/E-3), NAFTA professional workers (TN), aliens of extraordinary ability (O-1), intracompany transferees (L-1s, including new office), and treaty traders and investors (E-1 and E-2).
Corona possesses similarly comprehensive experience overseeing the preparation and approval of employment and merit-based immigrant petitions and green card applications including PERM labor certifications, national interest waivers (NIW); aliens of extraordinary ability and outstanding researchers (EB-1A/EB-1B); and multi-national managers and executives (EB-1C).
