Anna Nyanda

Ms. Nyanda serves as Deputy General Counsel, Conflicts & Ethics Counsel, and Privacy Officer for Ogletree Deakins. Ms. Nyanda is the principal deputy to the firm’s general counsel on matters relating to conflicts, professional responsibility, and risk management.

She began her legal career as a litigation associate in the New Orleans office of a regional law firm. Thereafter, she served in various capacities for the State of Tennessee including as associate general counsel for the Tennessee Human Rights Commission. She later returned to private practice, first with the Nashville-based global operations team for an international law firm supporting the firm’s conflicts and risk management efforts throughout the United States and abroad and later with a Tennessee-based firm.

Ms. Nyanda graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 with a B.A. in Political Science. In 2001, she graduated from Loyola University, where she was a member of Moot court.

She is a native of Tanzania, East Africa.
