Rachel serves as Special Counsel with the firm’s EEO Advantage Program defending employers before federal and state administrative agencies against claims of discrimination and retaliation. She also provides advice and counseling to employers in a wide array of human resources matters, including discipline, discharge, wage payment and compensation, leaves of absence, employment applications, employee handbooks, employment policies, job descriptions, performance appraisals, drug and alcohol testing, employment and non-compete agreements, severance agreements, and reductions in force. She assists employers in ensuring compliance with employment-related statutes, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, Older Worker Benefit Protection Act, Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Uniformed Services Employment and Re-employment Rights Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, and other federal and state employment laws.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Rachel gained over 20 years of experience in private practice representing employers in a wide variety of human resources matters, including employment litigation.
