William F. Cusack

William Cusack represents employers in all areas of employment law, including race, national origin, age, gender, pregnancy and disability discrimination; retaliation; labor relations; ERISA benefits; wage and hour claims; federal and state whistle-blower protection; Family and Medical Leave Act, Equal Pay Act, Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act claims; workers’ compensation, unemployment insurance, and other types of employment-based disputes.

Will has extensive experience representing hospitals and health care facilities, businesses, cooperative housing corporations, boards of directors, retirement communities, and public housing authorities against discrimination and retaliation claims. Will regularly counsels housing associations on best practices and trains personnel on relevant antidiscrimination laws and policies. He works with clients to reduce exposure to discrimination and retaliation claims.

Will regularly counsels management on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship, from hire to separation, including employment applications, non-compete agreements, restrictive covenants, drug and alcohol testing, employee handbooks, collective bargaining agreements, personnel policies, workplace investigations, discipline, employment terminations, reductions in force, and separation agreements. Will also assists federal contractors in the development and implementation of affirmative action programs (AAPs) and provides advice and counsel to employers undergoing Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and state and local compliance reviews.

Will interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board, Division of Administrative Law Judges.
