Megan develops and maintains multi-jurisdictional resources for Ogletree Deakins employer-clients. As Senior KM (Knowledge Management) Counsel, her work plays a key role in the firm’s advice and counsel, compliance, and prevention services.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Megan served for over 20 years as in-house employment counsel for Entergy Corporation, where she provided daily employment law advice and training in areas including discrimination, harassment and retaliation; counseling, discipline, and terminations; accommodations; wage and hour; diversity, inclusion and belonging; pay equity; criminal background checks; drug and alcohol testing; contingent workers; OFCCP compliance; HIPAA Privacy Rule compliance; workplace violence; investigations; and employment policies. She served on numerous company-wide cross-functional committees such as the Pay Practices Committee, the Workplace Violence Committee, the Investigations Oversight Committee, the OFCCP Practices Group, the HIPAA Privacy Group, and the Educational Requirements Committee.
Before her in-house role, Megan was a partner in a law firm in New Orleans, representing management in labor and employment law matters. While in private practice, Megan was the Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association, a frequent speaker on employment law topics, as an instructor for the LSU trial advocacy program and the law firm’s hiring partner and moderator of the firm’s annual seminar.
