Of Counsel   |   Pittsburgh

Asra is an of counsel in Ogletree Deakins’ Pittsburgh office, where she combines deep subject-matter knowledge with a pragmatic approach to help clients navigate the full spectrum of accessibility and employment challenges. As an experienced litigator, Asra advocates for clients in all phases of litigation before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Her practice focuses on defending clients in individual and class action lawsuits under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, as well as single-plaintiff matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, and other federal, state, and common law theories.

In addition to her litigation practice, Asra regularly advises and trains national and multinational corporations, regional employers, and emerging businesses on legal risk mitigation strategies and issues related to architectural and digital accessibility, including websites, mobile applications, and closed captioning.

Prior to her career in the legal industry, Asra gained valuable experience in a large corporate environment, working in human resources, business-to-business sales, and government contracts. This background guides her business-focused approach to legal practice.

Asra earned her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law, where she received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award and the Katie Elisabeth Westbrook Award for excellence in trial advocacy. She was also inducted into the Louis L. Manderino Honor Society for her distinction in trial advocacy and commitment to the ethical practice of law.
