Caroline H. Cheng’s practice focuses on advising and defending regional, national, and multinational employers on a wide range of workplace law matters.

Clients trust Caroline to provide practical business advice that is grounded in best practices and tailored to clients’ goals. She regularly advises and defends regional, national, and multinational employers on matters including policy design and drafting, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, employees’ requests for accommodations and leaves, performance management and employee discipline, wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, and terminations. Her practice has a particular focus on handling sensitive matters including workplace investigations and difficult personnel matters, and she has extensive experience ensuring employers remain compliant.

Earlier in her career, Caroline was a principal at another labor and employment law firm. Before that, she served as in-house counsel to the National Basketball Association, giving her first-hand knowledge on issues ranging from labor negotiations and immigration to employee benefits and cross-border employment matters. She started her career as a labor and employment lawyer at a global law firm in New York.

Caroline has appeared four times on the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America list. She earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and her B.A. from Princeton University.
