Jacqueline M. Duvall

Of Counsel   |   Kansas City

Jacque concentrates her practice in the areas of workplace safety and health, and employment litigation. She has successfully represented clients in all phases of litigation, from inception of a claim through appeal, in both federal and state courts. Jacque advises and represents employers across multiple industries on OSHA inspections, privileged root cause investigations, and OSHA enforcement actions.

Jacque is known for her strategic thinking and results-driven approach. She draws on her extensive experience in defending clients in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from workplace safety incidents. Jacque has led workplace accident investigations – including serious incidents and fatalities – and represents employers throughout the inspection and litigation process. Jacque routinely contests citations, negotiates settlements, and – when necessary – litigates OSHA matters on behalf of employers. Her work includes handling significant OSHA matters for electric utilities and electrical contractors, construction companies and manufacturers.

In her employment litigation practice, Jacque represents employers on matters under federal and state labor and employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). She has significant experience representing employers in both federal and state courts and before government agencies, including the EEOC and DOL, on a wide range of issues such as allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and other state and federal employment claims.

Originally from St. Louis, Jacque moved to Kansas City after law school. She enjoys spending time staying active and volunteers with Girls on the Run of Greater Kansas City.
