Mary L. Bryson

Associate   |   Lexington

Mary is an experienced litigator with a background in business disputes, tort, and appellate advocacy. She has participated in complex litigation matters ranging from breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty to False Claims Act and products liability cases. She is experienced in all phases of discovery and motion practice, as well as alternative dispute resolution at both the trial and appellate stage. She has helped obtain summary judgments and dismissals in a number of cases and has assisted in trial preparation in both state and federal court.

Prior to her time in private practice, Mary completed clerkships with Judge Gregory N. Stivers of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and Judge Eugene E. Siler, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She supported multiple district court trials under Judge Stivers, and further assisted Judge Siler when sitting by designation in the Third, Ninth, and Eleventh Circuits. Mary utilizes this federal court background in her practice, drawing on her experience with the broad range of cases she encountered during her clerkships.

Mary received her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif and served as Articles Editor for the Kentucky Law Journal, and her B.A. in History and Government from Centre College. Outside the office, Mary serves as the marketing advisor to the Alpha Delta Pi chapter at Centre and attends First United Methodist Church. She enjoys spending time with her family, as well as gardening, reading, and watching sports, particularly UK football and basketball and Formula 1.
