Peter Rathmell is an associate in Ogletree Deakins’ Charlotte office. Peter represents employers in a wide variety of employment issues and defends employers against claims filed under various federal employment discrimination statues, related state statutes, and other torts. Peter is also skilled at responding to government investigations and conducting related internal investigations, as well as litigating in both trial and appellate courts.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Peter worked for a regional law firm where he specialized in healthcare fraud litigation. Peter represented hospitals and providers in defending against government prosecutions and in retaliation lawsuits brought by former employees. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington & Lee University and earned his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Tulane Law School.
