Elizabeth is an immigration attorney practicing in the Austin office.
Throughout her career as an immigration attorney, she has worked as both outside counsel and in-house counsel for multinational organizations, providing guidance on immigration compliance and creating agile immigration programs. Her unique experience as in-house immigration counsel enables her to build programs that meet business needs and enhance the employee experience.
Elizabeth has extensive experience in:
- Developing, implementing, and iterating legal strategies, processes, and operations to ensure innovative, best-in-class immigration programs;
- Providing strategic legal advice and direction to HR and business partners relating to immigration compliance, including workforce planning, job changes, and employer obligations;
- Providing strategic legal advice to foreign nationals regarding work authorization and permanent residency sponsorship;
- Managing high-volume PERM programs for skilled workers;
- Responding to PERM audit requests from the U.S. Department of Labor and submitting requests for reconsideration and requests for review to the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA);
- Preparing immigrant petitions and permanent residency applications for individuals of extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers, multinational managers, as well as skilled and unskilled workers; and
- Preparing petitions, visa applications, and applications for admission to the U.S. for nonimmigrant workers, including intracompany transferees (L-1A and L-1B), specialty occupation professionals (H-1B and E-3), NAFTA professionals (TN), treaty traders (E-1), treaty investors (E-2), individuals of extraordinary ability (O-1), and culturally unique artists and entertainers (P-3).
