Eric Mintz focuses his practice on defending employers in labor and employment litigation and arbitrations. He has extensive experience representing companies of all sizes and public entities in a wide range of employment disputes. He has successfully defended clients in matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour class actions, whistleblower and PAGA claims, and breach of employment contract actions. He represents employers throughout California in both state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH, and DLSE. He has also counseled employers on day-to-day employment issues, including policies and procedures, terminations, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, severance, reductions-in-force and reasonable accommodations under FEHA.  He joins Ogletree Deakins after many years with boutique trial and litigation firms in Beverly Hills, Century City, and Los Angeles. He is a member of the California State Bar and admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California. He earned his juris doctorate from Southwestern University where he was a member of Law Review.  Previously, he received his bachelor’s degree with Honors from University of Michigan and a master’s degree from University of Southern California. He was named a Leader of Influence in Labor & Employment Law by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2023.
