Lisa Bessedik joined Ogletree Deakins in December 2025 as an attorney in the Labor and Employment department.
She holds a Master’s degree (Master II) in Labor and Employment Law from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and completed her legal training at the Haute École des Avocats Conseils (HEDAC) in Versailles. Lisa has been admitted to the Paris Bar since 2022.
Lisa advises French and international companies on all aspects of labor and employment law, both in an advisory and litigation capacity, covering individual and collective employment relations.
She regularly assists clients in the context of restructurings, workforce reorganizations and employee transfers, as well as business acquisitions. Lisa also advises employers in connection with separation negotiations, including for executives and senior managers, the organization of employee representative elections, and related pre-election and post-election disputes.
In addition, Lisa represents employers before labor and civil courts and provides day-to-day advice on a broad range of employment law matters, including individual and collective terminations, discrimination, harassment, workplace health and safety, and employment-related criminal law.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Lisa practiced with several Paris-based law firms dedicated to labor and employment law. She also gained nearly two years of experience with a full-service business law firm in Nouméa, New Caledonia.
Her areas of experience notably include employment litigation and discrimination claims, employment-related criminal law, the management of individual and collective employment relationships, restructurings and employee transfers, and workplace health and safety. Lisa has advised a leading pharmaceutical group on large-scale restructuring projects and assisted a major sports retail company in connection with a business acquisition, including the management of employment disputes and organizational changes. She also regularly supports employers in separation negotiations, including for executives and senior executives, and represents employers in individual and collective disputes before labor and civil courts.
Lisa is the author of several publications in labor and employment law, including “The Legal Framework of New Forms of Work and the Extension of Working Time for Senior Workers” published by the Association pour l’étude juridique des questions sociales (AEJQS) on December 1, 2020, and “Paid Leave Accrual, Sick Leave and the CJEU: When the System Goes Into Overdrive…” published in Jurisprudence Sociale Lamy, No. 572, on October 25, 2023, co-authored with Grégory Chastagnol.
She was also featured in France Info in January 2022 in connection with her admission to the bar in Nouméa and is a recipient of the AEJQS legal writing award.
