Mason Gardner is a lawyer in Ogletree’s Houston office. Mason is well-versed in the human resources function. He defends employers against various employment and ERISA claims and advises employers on federal and state employment law compliance. More specifically, Mason represents and advises employers in all areas of the HR function such as FLSA and related Wage and Hour laws, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, etc.),  Age Discrimination (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), reductions in force / WARN Act, and ERISA. He also drafts employment agreements, separation agreements, and employee handbooks.

Before joining Ogletree, he practiced employment and employee benefits law at global Am Law 20 and Am Law 200 firms. During law school, Mason served as the Executive Editor on the Houston Journal of International Law and was an active moot court team member.

Mason is an Eagle Scout. His hobbies include participating in outdoor sporting activities, at the local CrossFit gym, hiking national parks, playing tennis, and hanging out with his dog, Beaux.
