Jane Jeong

Associate   |   New York

Jane’s practice focuses on labor and employment law, with a particular depth in advising multinational employers on cross-border workforce matters. As a former Wall Street investment analyst, Jane leverages her foundation in global finance to provide a commercially grounded perspective on corporate employment matters across a wide range of industries.

Jane advises multinational employers on day-to-day workforce issues, helping in-house teams navigate country-specific employment requirements while keeping sight of broader U.S. corporate strategy and risk tolerance. She counsels clients on a broad spectrum of employment matters and workplace policies – such as employee handbooks and employment agreements – and has extensive experience navigating complex legal landscapes governing multinational workforces (including, but not limited to, hiring, performance management, accommodations, employee claims, reductions in force, and terminations). She has extensive experience handling employment discrimination claims, internal employee investigations, government audits, restrictive covenant agreements, wage-and-hour matters, as well as providing day-to-day counseling on workforce strategy and risk management. Jane also guides employers through regulatory compliance obligations, pay equity matters, and legal risk management, with a focus on delivering practical, operationally sound solutions.

Throughout her career, Jane has taken on leadership roles at the intersection of law and diversity. At her prior law firms, Jane served as the Global Leader of the Asian and Middle Eastern Lawyers Group and the National Co-Chair of the Asian Pacific Islander Attorney Affinity Group. She also launched the official podcast for the Asian American Bar Association of New York and maintains a strong commitment to building inclusive and authentic professional communities.

Jane holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Economics from Yale University. She also studied at Oxford University and was a Richard U. Light Fellow for Mandarin studies in Beijing. She is based in the firm’s New York City office and is admitted to practice in New York.

Outside of work, Jane loves spending time at home with her family, hiking with her two dogs, working out on her Peloton, and writing fiction. She is also a certified life coach and a former boutique fitness instructor.
