Hannah B. Simmons

Hannah B. Simmons is an associate in the Raleigh office of Ogletree Deakins.

Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Hannah practiced at a plaintiff-side employment law firm where she litigated a wide range of employment matters, including complex collective and class action wage and hour disputes. In this role, she represented clients through all stages of litigation in state and federal courts, before state and federal administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

In addition to her employment law experience, Hannah also gained defense-side experience at a national law firm, where she represented individuals and businesses in general liability, professional liability, and medical malpractice matters. In that role, she provided strategic counseling, liability assessments, and litigation support across a variety of complex disputes.

Drawing on her experience representing clients on both sides of the courtroom, Hannah brings a unique perspective to workplace disputes.  Her background enables her to anticipate opposing counsel’s strategies, evaluate risk from multiple angles, and develop practical litigation and risk-management approaches that advance her clients’ business objectives while minimizing exposure to future claims.
