Blaine Z. Taylor

Blaine Taylor is of counsel in Ogletree Deakins’ Baltimore, Maryland office. His practice focuses on traditional labor law, including matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, and labor arbitrations.

Additionally, Blaine defends employers against discrimination claims filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. These matters involve Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. He also advises employers on OSHA compliance and develops workplace safety training materials addressing requirements related to chemical handling, heat safety, personal protective equipment, and other workplace safety protocols.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Blaine worked as an associate attorney at another national labor and employment law firm in Baltimore and at a boutique union-side firm in Washington, D.C. His experience representing both employers and unions provides him with a well-rounded perspective on labor and employment matters, including bargaining, organizing, contract negotiations, and workplace disputes. Blaine also regularly presents on labor and employment issues to professional and community organizations and has co-presented positive employee relations training programs to managers and executives, including senior leadership of a large health care organization. He has published articles with the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association and received the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in Labor and Employment Law at the George Washington University Law School.
