On September 24, 2008, the Arizona Industrial Commission approved the annual increase in the minimum wage rate to $7.25 per hour effective January 1, 2009.  The $3.00 per hour tip credit allowed in the minimum wage statute remains unchanged.

The Industrial Commission has stated that the change will be posted on their website within the next few days.  You may access http://www.ica.state.az.us/ to obtain additional information, or contact Joe Clees, Ogletree Deakins – Phoenix at (602) 778-3700 or Tibor Nagy, Ogletree Deakins – Tucson at (520) 544-0300.
