New York employers should note that, although the New York WARN Act’s Emergency Regulations (issued on January 30, 2009) were set to expire on April 29, 2009, we have been advised by the New York Department of Labor that these emergency regulations will be extended for an additional 60 days, or until new emergency regulations are promulgated in the interim.
