On March 10, 2008, a bill (A2482) was introduced to amend the workers’ compensation law to provide that if an employee is intoxicated when an injury or death occurs while working, it will be presumed that the injury/death was caused by the intoxication and the employee will be barred from receiving workers’ compensation benefits.
