Federal courts and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) are making it more and more difficult to determine the extent of an employer’s obligations to accommodate employees claiming to have disabilities. Previously settled matters of law and business practice, such as how to handle erratic employee attendance and working from home arrangements, have been reopened for discussion. This session will identify several of these topics and propose best practices for evaluating and addressing employees who vaguely identify alleged disabilities and/or the need for accommodations.
