Employers are obligated to prevent harassment and discrimination in the workplace. In today’s world, the need for competent, focused investigations is greater than ever to avoid or reduce the potential for liability. In this workshop, David Powell and Stephen Rotter will walk participants through best practices for conducting workplace investigations, including the following interactive topics: assessing the scope of an issue; setting boundaries for confidentiality; discussing needed communications; compiling best evidence; interviewing witnesses; interfacing with government investigators; and determining areas of exposure.
