Employers doing business in New Jersey need to remain aware of the sources and scope of legal protection for individuals with disabilities in the state. In addition to complying with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, New Jersey employers must also adhere to the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, which provides broader protections for applicants and employees than the ADA.
